Citrix earnings beat analyst estimates

Citrix, the virtualization software company with its ShareFile division headquartered in Raleigh, saw its shares trade up about 7 percent by market close Wednesday. The company reported earnings that topped analyst forecasts and named an interim CEO. Citrix reported third quarter earnings of $56 million or 35 cents a share on $843 million in revenue. Non-GAAP earnings for the quarter were $1.04 a share. Analysts expected $1 a share. Bob Calderoni, executive chair, will take the helm as interim CEO as Mark Templeton steps down.
