Citrix Startup Accelerator picks seven firms for Raleigh launch

Seven startups, included two built by current Citrix employees, receive $25,000 in seed funding and will become the first firms to launch in the Raleigh-based Citrix Startup Accelerator beginning Monday. Called the “Raleigh’s Innovators Program,” the accelerator is based at the new Citrix Sharefile headquarters in Raleigh’s Warehouse District. Sixty-four teams applied for the program. Red Hat commits to supporting new Citrix startup program in Raleigh

The third annual Innovate Raleigh Summit, a full day event for entrepreneurs, government officials, and university stakeholders, concluded with an announcement from Raleigh Mayor Nancy McFarlane on Wednesday evening. The big news? Red Hat will partner with Citrix to launch a first-of-its kind startup accelerator housed within the new Citrix/Sharefile offices in Raleigh’s Warehouse District.
