Google Fiber expands to Cary, Durham as Triangle footprint continues to grow

Google Fiber is adding more communities to its Triangle network and in Charlotte, won’t be making any changes in its TV offering, and is stepping up its commitment to bridging the digital divide, a Triangle exec tells WRAL TechWire. Google Fiber dropping TV package for next 2 markets due to streaming trend

Cord-cutting in favor of streaming when it comes to TV is affecting product offerings from Google Fiber. GF, which offers hyper-fast Internet access in parts of the Triangle, is going to provide service without TV packages in its next two markets.
