The new Citrix Startup Accelerator in Raleigh will open its doors to seven startups on Monday. Two are from inside Citrix. But who are the other five?

Here are snapshots of each firm as provided through HQ Raleigh, which is one of the partners in the new venture:

  • Mindset Systems Incorporated:

“Smartphones, tablets, wearables, dashcams, and drones are becoming ‘channels’ and we see the need to address these devices from a collaborative perspective.”

  • Akili Software, Inc:

“Akili Software develops web & mobile applications for companies who provide non-medical home care services such as Respite care, personal care, and meal prep.”

In the announcement about the final selections. Michelle Harper, the founder of Akii Software which is based at HQ Raleigh’s office in the Warehouse District, said she sees many benefits from being selected for the program beyond the $25,000 in seed funding that each will receive.

“I learned of the Citrix Startup Accelerator through my membership at HQ Raleigh, and as a first-time CEO, I see immense value in gaining access to industry leaders and mentors both locally and in Silicon Valley through the program,” she said. “Additionally, the coaching in collaboration, design thinking, and lean startup approaches will advance Akili Software as we build the next generation of care coordination software for the home care industry.”

  • Joosy, Inc:

“Joosy, Inc. sells software to streaming media providers that reduces their cost of delivery and enables new features and product offerings.”

  • Userlite:

“Userlite is a marketplace for web software, enabling businesses to find and instantly subscribe to web apps for their employees and customers.”

  • EMPLOYUS:

Built on transparency, trust, speed, and results, EMPLOYUS connects great people with great companies by leveraging the potential of the crowd.

No information was available at the two Citrix teams.
