Citrix to add 400 jobs in Raleigh

Cloud computing and file-sharing software firm Citrix (Nasdaq: CTXS) plans to expand its Raleigh operations, creating 400 jobs over the next five years, officials said Thursday. Citrix said it will invest $5 million in the expansion. ShareFile boosts Citrix Q3 cloud revenue

Florida-based Citrix Systems Inc. , which bought Triangle cloud company Sharefile, reported third quarter earnings of $1.32 a share, Wednesday, beating consensus estimates of $1.19 by 13 cents. The company had revenue of $841.30 million in the quarter, up 3.4 percent year over year and topping estimates of $827.21 million. Citrix merging GoTo with LogMeIn, tops earnings expectations

Citrix Systems, which bought Raleigh-based ShareFile in 2011 and has more than 600 employees in the city, is merging its GoTo business with LogMeIn. Citrix shareholders will get LogMeIn shares worth $1.8 billion. The merger comes instead of the spinoff of GoTo as a public company that Citrix previously announced.
