RALEIGH – Even though the latest WRAL TechWire Jobs Report found that job openings in the Triangle have dropped by nearly 19% compared to a month ago, the analysis found that for the 50 firms that WRAL TechWire tracks weekly, more than 3,400 jobs are available. And 16 have more open spots as the New Year begins.

Yes, the openings are declining – the month-over-month decline in openings fell 11%.

But company after company still has open spots.

That’s because firms continue to seek talented workers.

The latest data show that these 50 employers are currently hiring for 3,438 open positions.

There also are early signs that the total number of job openings could again increase, as the latest WRAL TechWire Jobs Report found a slight uptick in the number of posted job advertisements.

And many are still searching for dozens, or hundreds of workers, including Fidelity Investments, IQVIA, Labcorp, Novo Nordisk, and Wolfspeed.
