Ultimus, a Web-based workflow automation platform provider, says that Lancaster General Hospital in Pennsylvania is using its Ultimus Workflow Suite to automate many key business processes.

The hospital says it has deployed the Ultimus Workflow Suite across the entire facility to enhance internal efficiency and productivity in its information technology services, printing, human resource and hospital supply departments.

One of the business processes automated by Lancaster General Hospital enables approximately 5,000 employees to request assistance from Information Services. The hospital receives and responds to approximately 1,000 requests a month using this automated process.

The Ultimus Workflow Suite enables every employee of the hospital to contribute to the overall productivity gains. The hospital also utilizes the Ultimus Workflow Suite in its purchasing department to coordinate the ordering of additional supplies to meet approved inventory levels.
