Charlotte-based Eye Care Leaders acquires software firm iMedicWare

Eye Care Leaders, a company that provides ophthalmic and optometric practice solutions, announced Monday morning it will be acquiring iMedicWare Inc., a company that offers software solutions for ophthalmology practices and ambulatory surgery centers. Terms of the deal were undisclosed. iMedicWare is provides software specifically designed for ophthalmologists. The Freehold, New Jersey-based company began in 2006 when a group of leading physicians representing all the ophthalmic sub-specialties worked together to create efficient, paperless solutions for ophthalmology.
