Automated Insights is acquired: CEO describes the deal

In a blog post Thursday morning, Automated Insights CEO Robbie Allen disclosed that the Durham-based company has been acquired by Vista Equity Partners. The company focuses on artificial intelligence and is best known for its automated content written by “robots.” Clients and investors include The Associated Press. AI raised more than $5 million in venture capital last year. The company will remain in Durham, and its “team” will remain the same, Allen says.
