North Carolina has the 11th most competitive tax code in the nation, according to the Tax Foundation’s 2018 State Business Tax Climate Index. Raleigh-based Bandwidth files for $85 million IPO

A Raleigh-based telecommunications company has filed to raise $85 million in an initial public offering, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing on Friday. Bandwidth Inc. hopes to use the money from the IPO for expansion of their sales, marketing and research and development. The company also plans to use the money for future strategic acquisitions although there are not agreements or commitments withstanding. Physcient Inc. is hoping to raise $1 million in a private stock offering, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. It has raised $344,862 thus far.
