Cary-based software company SAS has had another round of layoffs, this time in its Retail Solutions division.

A spokesperson for the software analytics company would not identify just how many people the company laid off.

“As we have previously explained, we have been slowly shifting some divisional structures to better align with our corporate priorities. Evolving our organizational structure and aligning the right talent to our core focus areas is part of our normal business process and remains a priority for SAS. I can confirm that the Retail Solutions division has been impacted,” the spokesperson said.

“Last year, we stated that the overall impact for 2023 was expected to be approximately 1 percent of our total workforce.  That remained true.”

While realigning what jobs are necessary, the global company is also continuing to hire. On Wednesday, there were 24 openings listed for the Cary headquarters location, three of them internships.
