CARY – Epic Games has wrapped up its case against Google in its antitrust suit over the banning of Fortnite but the big headline items Friday were critical comments made by the judge who says he will investigate Google’s handling of potential evidence in the case.
“This conduct is a frontal assault on the fair administration of justice. It undercuts due process. It calls into question just resolution of legal disputes. It is antithetical to our system,” said federal Judge James Donato, according to reporting by tech news site The Verge.
“Judge Donato vowed to investigate Google for intentionally and systematically suppressing evidence, calling the company’s conduct ‘a frontal assault on the fair administration of justice,'” The Verge reported.
