CHARLOTTE – Charlotte City Council has approved development of a data center in University City.
Rhyne Land Holdings filed a request in January to rezone a 123.8-acre site off University City Boulevard and Interstate 485 for development of a 2.5 million-square-foot data center and an electrical substation.
Council voted 7 to 2 to approve the petition.
