RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – WRAL TechWire keeps tabs on the latest meetups, panels, workshops, conferences, application deadlines and everything happening in the entrepreneurial, technology and business communities in the Triangle and across North Carolina.

Following is a list of events in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and the greater Triangle area through the end of July. Many events will be held in person, as some organizers are returning to a live format.

NC IDEA Fall 2023 Grants Info Session: Triangle

Join this information session to learn about the application process for NC IDEA’s latest cycle of MICRO ($10,000) and SEED ($50,000) grants, which support early-stage, high-growth companies. Applications are due on Aug. 28.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusivity Conference 2023

Raleigh Chamber’s annual Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity Conference will offer local businesses tools to support their DEI efforts and create a more inclusive work culture. The event includes panel discussions, breakout sessions and networking.

Women in Tech Brews + Bytes

NC TECH’s Women in Tech network will gather for an evening of networking at MetLife’s campus in Cary.

Hangar 6 Deep Tech Innovation Workshop

July 26, 5-7 p.m. @First Flight Venture Center (& online)

This hybrid workshop series offers eight sessions focusing on the Design, Build, Test, Learn (DBTL) methodology for product development. The program will present case studies and hands-on exercises to help participants develop prototypes and refine their ideas through feedback and data-driven decisions.

The City of Raleigh invites minority- and women-owned businesses to join this virtual information session to learn more about the certification process and requirements for North Carolina’s Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) programs.

RTCC Cleantech Catalyst

This event will offer talks from North Carolina companies working on projects to build resilient and reliable transmission. Join to learn about their latest developments and network with other attendees.

Application Deadline: Venture Atlanta Startup Showcase Live

Applications are open for this year’s Venture Atlanta Startup Showcase Live. The selected pre-seed and seed-stage startups will compete for a $500,000 investment prize at Venture Atlanta 2023 this September. Note: Though it will be held in Atlanta, this pitch competition targets startups across the southeast.
