RALEIGH – Ardagh Group has confirmed its closing of a plant in Wilson, saying in a layoff notice that 337 workers will be laid off “permanently” as of July 17.
The mass layoff notice was filed with the North Carolina Department which posted the details on Tuesday.
The glass production facility for beverage containers is operated by Luxembourg-based Ardagh Group.
News of the closing was reported by WRAL TechWire and the Ruston Leader in Louisiana on June 22. A plant in Louisiana is also being closed.
