RALEIGH – Tech giant Cisco and Raleigh-based telecommunications technology firm Bandwidth are now working together to expand connectivity through the cloud.

In a partnership announced at a CiscoLive! event in Las Vegas, the companies said Cisco Webex calling will utilize Bandwidth’s “Maestro” platform and Bandwidth’s own expansive network.

Maestro recently was named Overall Best of Enterprise Connect at the recent Enterprise Connect Conference & Expo,

Financial terms of the partnership weren’t disclosed.

The agreement is the latest in a long-running partnership between the companies.

“With over 10 million users, Webex Calling represents a large opportunity for Bandwidth to provide cloud connectivity at any stage of an enterprise’s cloud migration journey,” Bandwidth noted.

Added Sandy Preizler, Bandwidth’s chief revenue officer:  “It’s a story that also resonates with our channel partners and the ecosystem as we help chief information officers tap into a rich set of cloud capabilities to improve CX [customer experience] and reduce costs, while continuing to leverage their existing investments in Cisco workflows, integrations and devices.”
