RALEIGH – Medtech services firm Veranex – launched a year ago – continues to be on a binge of acquisitions to expand its information technology services portfolio as well as its physical footprint.
Today the company – backed by global investment firm Summit Partners – announced the acquisition of several medical device consultancy firms in Sweden. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
Veranex recently acquired Medidee, which is based in Switzerland.
The newly acquired firms include:
- Devicia, a full-service partner offering clinical expertise
- Clarvin, a provider of strategic guidance in regulatory affairs and quality assurance
- Affiliated firms Kickfile, Lea Reg, and Limulus Bio
“This group of companies, led by Devicia and Clarvin, shares the same goal as Veranex: working with our clients to achieve and accelerate MedTech innovation,” said Veranex CEO David Dockhorn in a statement. “Devicia, Clarvin, and their affiliate companies all focus exclusively on medical devices and IVD, providing strategic guidance and informed execution across a number of areas, including clinical trial, medical writing, regulatory strategies, toxicology assessments, designated local representation, and system technologies that bolster Veranex’s full-service MedTech capabilities and solutions.”
Other backers of Veranex include Accelmed and Lauxera Capital Partners.
Veranex made six acquisitions in its first full year of operations.
