RALEIGH – One of the Triangle’s technology ‘unicorns,’ private companies with a valuation of more than $1 billion, has bought its ninth company since 2019.

Raleigh-based Prometheus Group, a provider of asset management operations and optimization software, today announced it bought a Netherlands-based software company.

The company, LUCY Industrial Management Solutions (IMS), is the latest in a string of acquisitions for Prometheus Group, which bought RiskPoynt in January 2022 and S&V in February 2022.  The latest purchase is the company’s ninth since it was itself acquired by Genstar Capital in 2019.
