DURHAM – Durham Distillery, an award-winning creator of gins and liqueurs, has raised $4.5 million in equity, according to an SEC filing.

The company says it has one investor and met its fund-raising target.

The investor was not identified.

CEO and co-founder Melissa Katrincic and husband Lee launched the distillery in 2015.

Earlier this year, Durham Distillery’s Conniption Navy Strength Gin was named the best in the United States in the 2021 World Gin Awards. The company has won that title for three consecutive years.
