WRAL TechWire’s exclusive Triangle Startup Guide is continually growing with new resources for local startups. Whether you’re looking for VC or angel funding, local coworking spaces or free networking events, the Triangle Startup Guide has all the resources you need to take your venture to the next level.

Every week, we add new resources to keep content fresh and relevant. Today’s update includes changes and additions to the Accelerators and Mentorship Programs and COVID-19 Resources sections of the guide:

In the “COVID-19 Resources” section, we added a line for the recent set of lifted restrictions issued by North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper. Last week, the governor announced he would relax the outdoor mask mandate and mass gathering restrictions, so we added links to the executive order and frequently asked questions about the new rules.

On the “Accelerators and Mentorship Programs” page, we added the Velocity Creative Accelerator, a 10-week business development program offered by Winston-Salem’s Center for Creative Economy. Though the accelerator is held in the Triad, it isn’t limited to local startups.

Applications for the 2021 program are due on June 6. The cohort will operate in a hybrid format beginning in late July.

Throughout the program, founders will work with mentors and industry experts to refine their business model, analyze their market, prepare a financial forecast, construct a launch plan and develop an investor pitch. The program culminates in a demo day, where the top three teams split a $50,000 seed-stage investment.

If we missed a resource you’d like to add, please feel free to suggest it for inclusion. You can email me directly or use this contact form.
