WRAL TechWire’s exclusive Triangle Startup Guide is continually growing with new resources for local startups. Whether you’re looking for VC or angel funding, local coworking spaces or free networking events, the Triangle Startup Guide has all the resources you need to take your venture to the next level.

Ever since the pandemic hit last March, we’ve been building out our COVID-19 resources section, which includes links to small business grants, state and federal relief funding, support and advice, research funding, public health information and more.

Last week, we added two new relief grant sources to the page:

In the “Federal Assistance” section of the page, we added the U.S. Small Business Administration’s new Shuttered Venue Operators Program. Owners/operators of live venues, theatres, performing arts centers, museums and more eligible entities can apply to receive grants equal to 45% of their gross earned income up to $10 million.

In the “Nationwide Grants/Funds” section, we added three new grant programs from Annuity Freedom, targeting artists, Black or minority business owners and women business owners. All are a combination of marketing + micro-grant. While there is not currently a cap on the number of monthly marketing grantees, there is currently one $100 micro-grant each month per program. Marketing assistance will continue indefinitely. No fees are required of applicants.

We make weekly additions to the Triangle Startup Guide. As always, if we missed a resource you’d like to add, please feel free to submit it for inclusion. You can email me directly, tweet me @shannoncuthrell or use this contact form.
