Economic forecast events are always a common occurrence at the start of every new year. Leaders gather to look back on the successes and challenges of the past year and provide a preview of the trends and opportunities that might shape the region in the months to come.
As January approaches, we’ve seen plenty of economic forecasts and New Year’s-themed events coming up on our calendar across North Carolina.
We’ve compiled a roundup of upcoming events that reflect that theme:
January 3, 7:30-9 a.m. @Prestonwood Country Club

January 7, 10:30 a.m. – 2:15 p.m. @Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center

January 9, 4-7 p.m. @The Chesterfield
Meet fellow entrepreneurs, get tips on growing your company and network with members of the life science community at Larger Than Life Science, a free event presented by LaunchBio. This month’s theme is “Looking Back, Looking Ahead.” LaunchBio will take a look back at how far the life science community has come in the last decade and will give a preview of what the next chapter might look like.

The Regional Transportation Alliance’s 18th annual meeting features the latest transportation trends and insights, and talks on the opportunities and challenges impacting the Triangle in the next year.

Bunker Labs Charlotte is hosting a meetup discussing some of the major opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs in North Carolina in 2020, along with the resources available to help them achieve their goals.

Startup Summit is celebrating the new year with a talk from Julia Wuench, founder of The Authenticity Guide. The event also features brews from Fortnight Brewery and a raffle for a Startup Summit t-shirt and Purebuds Earphones.
January 24, 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. @Sheraton Charlotte Convention Center
In this annual event, the North Carolina Technology Association (NC TECH) will present the trends and forecasts to shape the next year in technology.
January 30, 8:30-10 a.m. @Research Triangle Foundation
At this event, NC TECH will release its sixth annual State of Technology Industry Report and Tech Directory, capturing North Carolina’s tech sector and including a directory of all NC TECH members.
