More news and information for entrepreneurs to use in building and growing businesses is available from WRAL TechWire as we continue to make additions to our Triangle Startup Guide.
Also, be sure to check out our extensive calendar listings for October and November, plus our meetups list – all linked at the bottom of this post.
Every Monday, we’re sharing a digest of the changes and additions we make to the Triangle Startup Guide. Here’s what we did last week:
- We added a new listing to the advice/inspiration/more resources section of the guide: The North Carolina Secretary of State has a helpful resource guide on its website packed with information for anyone who’s looking to launch a business in North Carolina.
- We also updated our communities/networks/memberships page to include the Triangle East Chamber of Commerce, which encompasses Smithfield, Selma and neighboring communities located east of the Research Triangle region, including Kenly, Princeton and Wilson’s Mills. The organization provides support and community for local startups and businesses, and leads programs promoting workforce development and economic growth.
- We made a new addition to our list of venture capital sources: Leyline Renewable Capital, a Durham-based investor that funds pre-construction renewable energy projects to help developers scale their business. The fund has backed a few projects in North Carolina, including poultry and swine waste projects and two landfill gas projects. (Check out more TechWire coverage here.)
Is there something you think the guide is missing? Feel free to send me an email or tweet me (@ShannonCuthrell) your suggestions and feedback.
