RALEIGH – Insightsoftware, formed just a year ago with financial backing from two private equity firms, is expanding its physical footprint and adding more capabilities to its business planning and forecasting services, with another acquisition.

In its third deal made this year,  insightsoftware on Wednesday disclosed it had acquired Bizview Systems. The deal is part of the firm’s efforts to win more business in the global ERP [enterprise resource planning] market which it says is now worth $31 billion annual.

Research firm Market Research Engine in a recent report said the ERP market will grow to nearly $50 billion by 2024.

With offices in Norway and Sweden, Bizview brings budgeting and reporting to the Insightsoftware portfolio. “The addition of Bizview will extend insightsoftware’s financial and operational reporting portfolio, and strengthen its planning and budgeting capabilities with advanced integration and automation and simplified and shortened planning and budgeting cycles,” insightsoftware notes.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Insightsoftware is backed by PE firms TA Associates and Genstar.

The company recently opened a new 32,0000 square foot headquarters in Raleigh.

With more than 450 employees, insightsoftware says its revenues have grown 300 percent and customers now total more than 25,000.
