DURHAMClassRanked, a ratings site created by Duke University students aimed at helping fellow undergraduates pick their courses more wisely, is expanding its footprint.

The site has launched on UC Berkeley’s campus this week, giving its 30,000 undergraduate population access to a database of classes sorted by department and distribution requirement.

Every class has ratings for both quality and difficulty, as well as comments from students who have taken the class.

“We have transformed college class registration at Duke and believe that Berkeley is the perfect fit to expand our platform,” said ClassRanked CEO Hayden Hall, who started up the site with fellow classmates Dilan Trivedi and Max Labaton.

Launched at Duke University in April 2019, the site generated nearly 25,000 page views within a week. In July alone, traditionally an off-season month for course registration, nearly 2,200 users visited the site, the company said in its release.

Other schools expected to launch the site in the coming months include the University of Pennsylvania, Washington University in St. Louis, Emory University in Atlanta and UNC Chapel Hill.
