Plugging in an enterprise network to the fiber business highway is NOT a task for the weak at heart. But if your business doesn’t have a full-time IT person, how do you capitalize on gigabit speeds? Google Fiber launches a new program it says will help.

It’s called the “Google Fiber Tech Partner” initiative.

And Google has already signed up two partners for the Triangle market, where it is building a network.

Hosted America and Net Friends are the two IT service providers selected so far as “Tech Partners” in RTP.

“To help small businesses make the most of Google Fiber service, we created the Google Fiber Tech Partner program,” Google Fiber noted in a blog.

“This program connects small businesses with local IT companies. We’ve worked with IT companies to make sure they’re ready to help Google Fiber small business customers. These companies can work with you on IT projects, such as designing your network, configuring your network devices, and advising you on how to take advantage of cloud-based services with your fast Fiber connection.

“You can identify participating companies by looking for the Google Fiber Tech Partner badge on their websites and other materials.”
