AT&T continues to wide its 4G LTE wireless service across North Carolina, adding Rocky Mount and Wilson on Wednesday.

The Reidsville area north of Goldsboro is also now covered, AT&T said. 

Several other areas will gain access this summer, including Goldsboro, Kinston and Asheville. 

The Triangle and other major N.C. metro alreas already have 4G LTE service.

4G refers to the latest generation of wireless networks. LTE stands for long-term evolution.

4G LTE is up to 10 times faster than older 3G technology.
