RTI International promoted its chief financial officer to “second in command” on Wednesday and on Thursday named a new CFO.

Michael Kaelin replaces Jim Gibson, RTI’s new chief operating officer. 

“Mike is one of our most competent and dedicated financial and business professionals,” said Wayne Holden, RTI ‘s chief executive officer.  ”More importantly, he has the leadership skills and business acumen needed to help move our organization forward.”

Kaelin has worked at RTI since 2007, and since 2009 served as vice president of Research Group Finance, responsible for the finance teams in all research groups across the institute. He has 25 years of experience in the finance sector.

Before joining RTI, Kaelin worked at Misys Healthcare. He is a graduate of Davis & Elkins College.
