LVL7, a developer of software for networking companies, is offering a new product focused on linking wireless and wireline switching.
The expanded capability for its Fastpath software suite is designed to help original equipment manufacturers incorporate unified network switching at lower costs, LVL7 said. The wireless local area network (WLAN) package incorporates access point software, WLAN switching software and a WLAN management solution.
“For the enterprise user community, LVL7’s solution makes it economical to implement an integrated WLAN capability within a wired network infrastructure,” the company said. “The unified network approach drives down overall operating costs while offering administrators and end users the productivity advantages that come from mobility applications.”
