I am an experienced Human Resources leader with over 25 years of experience, 19 of which in service to the State of North Carolina.  During my tenure, I have worked for NC State University, the Department of Health and Human Services, and am currently with the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).  I provide leadership and administration of the Department's Human Resources program, ensuring compliance with state and federal policies.

As a strategic leader with the DEQ, my focus is on our employees as we grow and evolve to better serve the citizens of North Carolina.   I am committed to ensuring a workplace that respects, embraces, and celebrates the diverse backgrounds, fosters employee development, and provides a positive employee experience.

My passion is serving the needs of employees, managing through change, and inspiring growth. I consider myself lucky to have had a career full of gratifying experiences, with a central theme of impacting lives for the better. I credit much of my success to the exceptional mentors I have worked with throughout my career. These colleagues were instrumental in both my professional and personal growth.  Because of this, fostering a culture of positive leadership, mentorship, and collaboration opportunities is of the utmost priority to me.
