Serge Zwikker is the Executive Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations at BioCryst, a global biotech company developing novel, oral therapies for rare diseases. With more than 20 years of experience in IT – and 14 of those in the biopharmaceutical industry – Serge is a passionate and skilled leader in the IT field. Originally from the Netherlands, Serge attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated with a degree in Communication. Prior to entering the IT industry, he played basketball professionally, including in the NBA for the Houston Rockets and multiple teams overseas. He considers himself fortunate to have been able to turn two of his lifelong hobbies, playing basketball and working with computers, into full-time careers.
