Monthly newspaper focuses on N.C. Research Campus

The first issue of The Kannapolis Citizen & Researcher rolls off the presses this week to be distributed to readers in the Kannapolis area.

The C&R is a revamped, monthly version of the Kannapolis Citizen, a weekly paper launched in 2003. It is a sister publication of the Salisbury Post.

The 40-page tabloid-formatted paper includes the latest news from the N.C. Research Campus, including updates from all the universities and a monthly focus on the work of a participating school. The March issue features research being done by Appalachian State University.

It also includes community information — a calendar, education briefs and area news — and advertising from area businesses and professionals.
