While the eyes of many entrepreneurs and people hoping to become investors keep watching for news from the North Carolina General Assembly, a new group is being formed to help explain what’s happening.

Called the NC Triangle Crowdfunders Meetup, the group is “for anyone in the Triangle interested in crowdfunding as a way to raise funds for projects or to help fund your product or startup idea,” writes investor and crowdfunding advocate Mark Easley.

“We will network, trade ideas, hear from experienced crowdfunders, and learn what resources are available for creating a successful crowdfunding campaign sites like Kickstarter, Indiegogo, Crowdfunder, GoFundMe, AngelList, CircleUp, MalartuFunds, and more. If you are interested in crowdfunding, or want to support those who are, this meetup is for you. We plan to meet quarterly in various locations around the Triangle. “

Their last event drew more than 120 people.
