CHARLOTTE – Three months after Southern Lion opened in Carolina Place Mall, owner Sonja Nichols has finalized plans to expand next spring.
She took an additional 85,000 square feet to go with her current 50,000 square feet to allow her Black-owned home goods store to accommodate more than 300 merchants, nearly tripling the number she currently serves.
