Report: State Employees Credit Union eyes 20-story tower in North Hills

CHARLOTTE – Raleigh developer Atlas Stark is partnering with the State Employees’ Credit Union on a possible 20-story North Hills tower on Six Forks Road near the beltline.

The developer, led by Managing Partner Gabe Guillois, SECU and North Hills Dental Group own 14 acres, for which a rezoning request has been filed.

Specific project plans aren’t set.

The Triangle Business Journal first reported the story.

“SECU received interest in the Computer Drive property that will allow us to maximize our gain at this site while still maintaining a branch presence to support our members’ needs in the area,” a spokesperson said in an email to the Triangle Business Journal. “Our branch will remain in place until a new building is constructed, at which time we will occupy a portion of the first floor space.”
