RALEIGH – VinFast is on the record as saying it wants to build factories in Indonesia and India. A site for the India factory may be in play.
Media reports out of India are saying the former Ford factory in Chennai is a big focus point of discussion.
Reports of the talk continue even after VinFast reported more large losses for the quarter ending Sept. 30. The Vietnam-based manufacturer says it has commitments needed for the financing to build the big plant in Chatham County and another in Indonesia.
Over the weekend, VinFast rolled out cars for viewing at the Geneva International Motor Show 2023 in Qatar as part of its expanded international branding efforts.
