CHARLOTTE – For the sixth year in a row, the Pinehurst-Southern Pines micropolitan, which includes all of Moore County, tops POLICOM’s 2023 Economic Strength Rankings as the #1 micropolitan area in North Carolina.
A “micropolitan” is defined as a statistical area having an urbanized core with a population of at least 10,000 but less than 50,000.
