CHARLOTTE – Three lighting and control companies will merge into one entity that will serve customers in North and South Carolina.

The combination of Coresential Lighting and Controls of the Carolinas, EGI Associates, Inc., and Quality Lighting Solutions to form Affiliated Lighting + Controls means that 30 workers will now operate as one company, with four offices and five senior executives.

A statement shared with WRAL TechWire by Coresential Lighting and Controls notes that the company has “an aggressive appetite for growth” and is growing naturally and by mergers and acquisitions.  The firm previously merged with Carolina Controls Group in January 2019.

Barry Enegess, the principal and managing partner of Coresential Lighting and Controls, noted in a statement that the merger would deliver “an agency of scale” to the region.  Enegess will remain a company executive, alongside the founder of Quality Lighting Solutions, Len James, and the owner and president of EGI Associates, David Locke, and two others, Robin Conway and David Feus.

The new company will be headquartered in Charlotte, but will maintain three other offices in the Carolinas, the statement noted.
