WILSON – When you are in the middle of launching a startup, it can feel invigorating and overwhelming all at once. It is important to identify the assets around you so that you are supported, informed, and empowered.

  • Find a Community

We are not built to do life alone! Finding a community of like-minded professionals is key to your growth as an entrepreneur. Coworking spaces are a great place to meet other creators. Even if you work in different industries, you can still compare ideas and be inspired by one another. By engaging with new people you can be supported, find new friends, and make valuable connections.

  • Identify Your Resources

There are lots of educational resources available for entrepreneurs that are cost efficient or free. Higher education institutions, chambers of commerce, coworking spaces, and nonprofits often offer meetups or courses on business development topics. Also, don’t forget to look online. You can’t be a master of all trades, so take advantage of the resources you can find to help you grow in your weak areas.

  • Plan for Sustainable Growth

When you are excited about a new project, it is easy to get ahead of yourself. Creating a plan for sustainable growth can help you stay focused as your startup grows. Find a mentor or accelerator program to advise you through this process. Creating a firm foundation for your business will give you the stability to last in the years to come.

  • Embrace Your Story

Your story as an entrepreneur is unique, so embrace it! Don’t shy away from sharing your experience with others. This is what makes your brand relatable. Celebrate your wins, learn from your losses, and be patient with yourself as you learn and grow.
