Leith Automotive Group, which has more than 2,000 employees at over 30 dealerships in the Raleigh and Pinehurst area, has been bought by Holman.

Holman has dealerships around the country, but not many in the mid-Atlantic or southeast region of the U.S.

The news was shared with Leith and Holman employees on January 3, according to a statement on behalf of both companies, and the transition is expected to be finalized by the end of the first quarter of the year.

“Leith Automotive Group and Holman, a global automotive leader, have reached an agreement for Holman to acquire North Carolina-based Leith Automotive Group. Leith and Holman are highly respected, family-owned businesses that place the highest priority on the growth and well-being of their valued employees and on creating unparalleled purchase and ownership experiences for their customers,” said the statement.

As part of the agreement, the Leith name, the entire Leith team and the Leith brand all remain in place.

“Leith associates will enjoy even greater opportunities for career growth, stability, and success in the years ahead,” said the statement.

“Over the past 56 years, the Leith family has built an incredible organization and a large, close-knit family of employee partners, and Holman is committed to keeping their tradition of success moving forward. This interfamily ownership transfer will be seamless to the Leith team, as well as to their large and loyal customer base, with the united Leith and Holman organization operating with shared best practices,” the statement reads.
