RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – WRAL TechWire’s Top 50 is a barometer of what’s happening in the Triangle tech sector. This week, all 50 of the “Top 50” are hiring, although the companies show fewer posts than last week.
Fidelity Investments and First Citizens tied for the most postings this week, with 179 total.
In Q3 of this year, a few “Top 50” companies each week typically featured more than 200 listings. So far in Q4, only a few “Top 5” companies have occasionally shown that many.
For the fourth week in a row, none of the Top 50 companies show more than 200 listings this week.
Triangle job postings rebound; keep ‘importing people to meet labor demand’ says UNC economist
Pfizer added the most postings this week, with +17 net postings this week (59 total postings this week).
GSK added the most postings this month, with +23 net postings when compared to this time last month (27 total postings this week).
The Top 50 showed 1,625 total postings, down 3.3% from last week and down 8.5% compared to last month.

In the wider Triangle market, the exclusive WRAL TechWire Jobs Report shows 219,011 active listings (not accounting for post duplications), up slightly. Just two weeks ago, job postings were at the lowest number seen since WRAL TechWire began tracking this data.
