RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – The “Top 50” are a barometer of what’s happening in the Triangle tech sector, and 49 of the 50 companies on the list show job openings in the Triangle this week, according to the most recent edition of the WRAL TechWire Jobs Report.

Healthcare solutions firm Fortrea is showing 19 openings in Raleigh and Durham, a big bump from last week. The roles span cybersecurity, clinical data, sales, and more, with full-time, internship, in-person, and remote options.

Wolfspeed postings also jumped this week, with 14 new postings and 130 total postings.

For the second week in a row, Citrix is showing zero openings. The firm showed, on average, 10.14 openings in the Triangle per week this summer, but the company’s only current US job opening is based in Ft. Lauderdale, according to the Citrix website.

NC TECH job expo on October 11

Want to hear from more companies that are hiring? NC TECH is hosting a Virtual Tech Job Expo on Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

During the event, job seekers can visit virtual booths to learn more about the participating employers, according to the NC TECH website.

More IT-related openings with the NC Government

WRAL TechWire also has an exclusive roundup of job openings within NC government. There are fewer openings at the state and county level, but the City of Raleigh is showing one new IT-related opening this week.

As of October 9, 2023, data tracked by TechWire’s exclusive jobs report shows:

  • 42 job openings (-10 from last week) in IT-related positions with the North Carolina state government (1,204 jobs total, -43 from last week)
  • 8 job openings (-3 from last week) in IT-related positions with Wake County government (46 jobs total, +/-0 from last week)
  • 3 job openings (+1 from last week) in IT-related positions with the City of Raleigh government (98 jobs total, -6 from last week)
