RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – There’s another Pappas working at Pappas Capital, but the venture capital firm is quick to point out that Nick Pappas is “no relation” to the firm’s founder Art Pappas.

The firm announced the hiring of Nick Pappas as a managing partner for Pappas Ventures, which focuses on life science investing.

“Nick’s extensive investment experience, coupled with his proven leadership skills, make him the ideal executive to help manage our venture business,” said Art Pappas, the CEO and Managing Partner of Pappas Capital. “We are pleased to welcome Nick to the Pappas team to help us continue to deliver superior returns for our investors through investments in companies developing transformative products and technologies.”

Nick Pappas joined the RTP firm from Philips Ventures where he was a managing partner and head of investments.

“Over the past 29 years, Pappas Capital has developed a reputation for partnering with entrepreneurs to build innovative companies that advance healthcare technologies and bring groundbreaking solutions to market,” Nick Pappas said in the announcement. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the Pappas team and look forward to building on their strong track-record of developing innovative products to address significant unmet medical needs.”
