Wilmington gears up for tech innovation: NC TECH and NEW unite for September event

WILMINGTON — NC TECH and the Network for Entrepreneurs in Wilmington (NEW) are joining forces for an event this September.

According to NEW founder Jim Roberts, over 200 people have registered.

“We are in the tenth year of an evolution into an innovation-based economy at the beach,” said Roberts in the event announcement. “Wilmington is now the #1 startup ecosystem in the USA for small cities of a similar size and the top ecosystem in the WORLD for cities under 300,000 people according to StartupGenome and StartupBlink rankings.”

The event will be held Wednesday, September 13th, from 4:00-6:00 pm at Ironclad Brewery.

The theme is “ABCs of New Technology Tools.”

“This event aims to bring together our network in a casual, intimate setting to connect, and also to learn about the ABCs (Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Chat GPT) of new technology tools,” according to the NC TECH event registration page.
