CHARLOTTE – JPMorgan Chase & Co hired Jamie Barwick as executive director and eastern North Carolina market executive for middle market banking as the bank launches a big expansion program.

The Durham native comes to the financial titan after 17 years with Charlotte-based Bank of America, most recently served as senior client manager in the Triangle. JPMorgan wants 100 branches in North Carolina by 2025.
“As we think about the next period of economic expansion in the state, there’s a tremendous opportunity to join a growing team,” Barwick told the Triangle Business Journal, adding that JPMorgan’s biggest challenge is getting its name out in the local market.
Barwick earned his Master’s degree at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
