The earnings reports continue to roll in for Carolinas-based public companies. Here are the latest reports:

  • Fathom Holdings

CARY — Fathom Holdings Inc. (FTHM) on Wednesday reported a loss of $4.3 million in its second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Cary, North Carolina-based company said it had a loss of 27 cents.

The company posted revenue of $100.1 million in the period.

  • Asensus Surgical

DURHAM  — Asensus Surgical, Inc. (ASXC) on Thursday reported a loss of $20.7 million in its second quarter.

The Durham, North Carolina-based company said it had a loss of 9 cents per share.

The maker of surgical robots and medical instruments posted revenue of $1.1 million in the period.

In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company’s shares hit 33 cents. A year ago, they were trading at 66 cents.

  • Brighthouse Financial

CHARLOTTE  — Brighthouse Financial Inc. (BHF) on Tuesday reported a second-quarter loss of $175 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based company said it had a loss of $3.01. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $4.13 per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $3.55 per share.

The annuity and life insurance company posted revenue of $263 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $2.16 billion, also surpassing Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.07 billion.

Brighthouse Financial shares have risen 6.5% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $54.60, a rise of 19% in the last 12 months.

  • Krispy Kreme

CHARLOTTE — Krispy Kreme Inc. (DNUT) on Thursday reported second-quarter earnings of $223,000.

The Charlotte, North Carolina-based company said it had net income of less than 1 cent on a per-share basis. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 7 cents per share.

The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 7 cents per share.

The doughnut wholesaler and retailer posted revenue of $408.9 million in the period, which also met Street forecasts.

Krispy Kreme expects full-year earnings in the range of 31 cents to 34 cents per share, with revenue in the range of $1.65 billion to $1.68 billion.

  • 3D Systems

ROCK HILL, S.C. — 3D Systems Corp. (DDD) on Wednesday reported a loss of $28.9 million in its second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Rock Hill, South Carolina-based company said it had a loss of 22 cents. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense and restructuring costs, were 7 cents per share.

The maker of 3D printers posted revenue of $128.2 million in the period.

3D Systems expects full-year revenue in the range of $525 million to $545 million.

 

  • Barings

CHARLOTTE — Barings BDC, Inc. (BBDC) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $40.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Charlotte, North Carolina-based company said it had net income of 37 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for investment gains, were 31 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 29 cents per share.

The business development company posted revenue of $75.3 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $70.2 million.

Barings BDC shares have increased roughly 5% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $8.55, a decrease of 15% in the last 12 months.

  • Sealed Air

CHARLOTTE  — Sealed Air Corp. (SEE) on Tuesday reported second-quarter earnings of $99.1 million.

The Charlotte, North Carolina-based company said it had profit of 68 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 80 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 68 cents per share.

The packaging company posted revenue of $1.38 billion in the period, missing Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.42 billion.

Sealed Air expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.75 to $2.95 per share, with revenue in the range of $5.4 billion to $5.6 billion.
