RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK — The Triangle’s startup job market hit new lows again this week, according to the latest edition of the WRAL TechWire Jobs Report.

But take heart in this: LinkedIn added more than 100 listings at it site.

Just last week, startup job postings fell below 11,000 for the first time since WRAL began tracking this data, down to 10,532 (not taking into account post duplications). This week, postings fell again, down to 10,358, only a 1.6% decline from last week but a 57.2% decline from this time last year.

Here’s a look at the Triangle startup job market trends, including this week’s historic new low:

The number of postings fell across startup job boards. On this week last year, LinkedIn showed over 8,800 "startup jobs" in the Triangle. This week, the same tracker showed only 2,644 postings, a 70% drop. Similarly, posting numbers plummeted 60% compared to this time last year on the Triangle Region Jobs Board.

Here are the numbers from all 15 different local or regional job board sites that we review weekly for WRAL TechWire’s exclusive Jobs Report for “startup” jobs:
