“We are not seeking to raise $3M and are not fundraising right now,” Elianna Goldstein, the co-founder and CEO of the company says.

Earlier this week, TechWre reported the company was seeking capital, based on an SEC filing.

Modern Ritual already is backed by venture capital firm Venture South.

“Modern Ritual is an end-to-end teledermatology platform that allows care providers to rapidly image, assess, and triage the most common and critical skin conditions,” notes the venture firm about its portfolio member.

Dermatologist Elianna Goldstein and her mother, Dr. Beth Goldstein, a skin cancer surgeon, to launch the company.

“After Elianna saw her father get treated for skin cancer in 2018, she partnered with her mother, leading skin cancer surgeon Dr. Beth Goldstein,” the company says at its website.

Modern Ritual says early “detection and access to care are the key ingredients to better patient outcomes and improved quality of life.”
