RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – The Triangle job market could use some good news.

The region had record-low job opening numbers this week, according to TechWire’s exclusive jobs report. And a recent report from NC TECH showed that tech job openings in Raleigh and in Durham-Chapel Hill are down 52% and 50%, respectively, from this time last year.

But many top Triangle companies are still hiring.

Collectively, the Top 50 firms TechWire tracks for job openings showed only a 1% decrease in job postings from last week — and in total, the firms are still showing over 2,400 openings.
