RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK — The Triangle’s startup job market showed signs of slowdown this week.
According to the latest edition of the WRAL TechWire Jobs Report, startup job postings decreased almost 13% this week.
This drop mirrors the wider Triangle job market trends. Job openings in the Triangle fell to historic lows this week, with just 263,862 opportunities currently available (not taking into post duplications), down 26% compared to this time last year.
The slowdown marks a concerning trend for the region, especially with WRAL TechWire reporting yesterday that Red Hat is cutting hundreds of jobs in a series of layoffs.
